Shinepukur outshines other companies in the ceramic sector

The Quarterly disclosure published for the period October-December 2015 highlighted the mixed performance of the listed companies of the ceramic sector. The price movements of the companies witnessed a mixed trend over the five trading sessions of last week. An increase in the market prices of the companies like Fu-Wang Ceramic, Monno Ceramic and Shinepukur Ceramic; the division of Bangladesh Export Import Company ltd. (Beximco) was recorded whereas there was a decline in the prices of companies like RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) and Standard Ceramic.
The shares of Fu-Wang Ceramic were traded at a price which was 10% or Tk 1.4 up than the previous session at Tk 15.40. There was an increment of 11.75 per cent or Tk 1.62 in the company’s market price during the last week. The company’s EPS (earning per share) was Tk. 0.22 for October-December, 2015 as against Tk. 0.08 for October-December, 2014; EPS was Tk. 0.33 for July-December, 2015 as against Tk. 0.17 for July-December, 2014.
The company’s net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was Tk. 0.36 for July-December, 2015 as against Tk. (0.09) for July-December, 2014. The net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk. 12.04 as of December 31, 2015 and Tk. 13.39 as of December 31, 2014. At the end of the week’s opening session, the shares of Monno Ceramic were at Tk 40.40 which rose to Tk 41 on Thursday. The company’s market price rose 1.48 per cent or Tk 0.60 last week. The company’s EPS was Tk. 0.09 for October-December, 2015 as against Tk. 0.03 for October-December, 2014, whereas the EPS was Tk. 0.15 for July-December, 2015 as against Tk. 0.10 for July-December, 2014. The NOCFPS was Tk. (3.00) for July-December, 2015 as against Tk. 0.46 for July-December, 2014 and the NAV per share was Tk. 95.26 as of December 31, 2015 and Tk. 95.11 as of June 30, 2015. The shares of RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) were traded at Tk 73.30 on Sunday and declined to Tk 70.0 on Thursday. The company’s market price declined 4.50 per cent or Tk 3.30 last week. The Board of Directors of RAK Ceramics has recommended 25 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on 31.12.2015. The Company has also reported Consolidated Net Profit after Tax of above Tk.

1.09 billion, consolidated EPS of Tk. 3.25, consolidated NAV per share of Tk. 17.93 and consolidated NOCFPS of Tk. 2.73 for the year ended on 31.12.2015 as against Tk. 562.79 million, Tk. 1.67, Tk. 17.57 and Tk. 1.84 respectively for the year ended on 31.12.2014. The shares of Shinepukur Ceramics were traded at Tk 10.90 on Sunday last and rose to Tk 11.30 on Thursday. The company’s market price rose 3.66 per cent or Tk 0.40 over the five trading sessions of last week. The company’s EPS was Tk. (0.11) for July-September, 2015 as against Tk. 0.04 for July-September, 2014, whereas the EPS was Tk. 0.04 for January-September, 2015 as against Tk. 0.29 for January-September, 2014. The NOCFPS was Tk. 0.64 for January-September, 2015 as against Tk. 2.43 for January-September, 2014. NAV per share was Tk. 29.05 as of September 30, 2015 and Tk. 29.02 as of September 30, 2014. On Thursday last, the shares of Standard Ceramic were traded at Tk 48.70, which was 0.81 per cent less than the value observed on Sunday. The company’s EPS was Tk. 0.15 for October – December, 2015 as against Tk. 0.11 for October – December, 2014, whereas the EPS was Tk. 0.28 for July – December, 2015 as against Tk. 0.26 for July – December, 2014. The NOCFPS was Tk. (2.23) for July – December, 2015 as against Tk. 0.69 for July – December, 2014. NAV per share was Tk. 14.12 as of December 31, 2015 and Tk. 14.36 as of June 30, 2015.
