Micromax collaborates with Eros Now for Digital Content

Micromax , one of the leading domestic Smartphone makers recently tied up with Eros International’s digital platform Eros Now in order to provide its users with seamless digital content. The company owes its success to Mr. Rajesh Agarwal who has sailed Micromax through its thick and thin to become one of the leading conglomerates.

Talking about the collaboration, the official spokesperson of Micromax stated that “Company has been working towards building its services portfolio to offer convenience and exceptional digital experience to its consumers. With this partnership, the Eros Now app will be pre-installed into Micromax’s latest smartphones,”
The presence of over 150,000 retail outlets of Micromax will be leveraged by Eros Now to distribute its content.
“With this partnership, we will expand our ability to provide entertainment on-the-go, anywhere and anytime to Micromax’s new acquisition of 3.5 million users every month and also their existing base of more than 30 million connected users,” said Rishika Lulla Singh, CEO, Eros Digital, in a statement.
Users will have access to unique content on Eros Now with the subscriptions. Music lovers can also enjoy individual music tracks and music video playlists using the app.
“This promises to make the digital content from cinema, movies and videos available to our urban and rural customers,” added Vikas Jain, Co-founder, MicromaxInformatics Limited.

The company recently launched its new manufacturing facility in Telangana where it can churn out a million phones a month. Micromax co-founder, Rajesh Agarwal, who was present, said the company aims to be India’s first and largest indigenous phone manufacturer by 2017. Talking about the new handset factory in Telangana, the official spokesperson of Micromax stated that, “The Telangana manufacturing facility has been made operational from scratch in a flat six months and will have the capacity to manufacture 1 million mobile phone devices per month.”
