Mumbai, Jan 3 (IANS) Actor Riteish Deshmukh Saturday reminisced about the release of his debut film “Tujhe Meri Kasam” on this date 12 years ago. It also launched his now wife Genelia D’Souza.

“#12YearsOfTujheMeriKasam My Debut film – released on 3rd Jan 2003,” Riteish posted on Twitter, along with a montage of images from the movie, which was directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar.
The movie didn’t do too well, but it worked wonders for the two actors as they embarked on their off screen love story thereafter.
Technology killed romance: KJo
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has helmed some of Bollywood’s most romantic films since making his directorial debut with “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” in 1998, says that the increased use of technology in daily lives is taking romance away from people.
“Technology definitely killed romance….how can Facetime and Skype ever replace waiting and longing for your loved one,” Karan tweeted Saturday.
Karan’s movies are all about love and loved ones. From “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” to “My Name Is Khan” and “Student of the Year” — love has been a recurring theme in all his directorials.
Bhandarkar finds airports fascinating
A great power of observation is considered an asset for creative people, and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar was at his observant best recently at an airport. He says an airport is a fascinating melting pot of people from various places.
“Airports are fascinating places.Travellers from so many different origins, all headed somewhere. Such energy in the air! Truly a melting pot,” Bhandarkar tweeted.
The National Award winning filmmaker’s next project is titled “Calendar Girls”.
