You have never lived until you have almost died; and for those who choose to fight, life has a special flavor the protected will never know. – Capt R Subramanium Kirti Chakra
“Fighting on the battlefront, away from the citizens who sleep peacefully, a soldier does what can never be paid back,” says renowned celebrity astrologer and motivational speaker, Dr Sundeep Kochar. We, according to him, are always indebted to their service. It is only because of a soldier’s sacrifice that a nation enjoys its freedom.
The world is a source of inspiration, and amongst all the things that motivate us, we can always say that army holds a special place. Speaking about the glory of the armed forces and India, Dr Kochar said, “India is not just a country progressing towards becoming a superpower, but at the same time, is a republic that speaks highly about progress.”
He further said, “Every year, on 26th January, the Republic Day parade is an example of the true power India holds. I make sure to take out time and watch the soldiers marching in all their glory. If there is one thing that still gives me goosebumps, it’s the power of the armed forces.”
Vividly remembering the days when he used to be in awe of the armed forces and wanted to be like them one day, Dr Sundeep Kochar reminisced his childhood. During his college days, he also cleared C certification in NCC (National Cadet Corps) as Senior Under Officer and was awarded as the best cadet.
Recalling his participation in All India Trekking Expedition for NCC from Shillong to Cherrapunji, he shared his love for India and said that he values the integrity of the country with great Pride. Kochar further mentioned that the nostalgia is enough to keep him going, and he can endlessly praise the soldiers for their love and dedication towards the safekeeping of citizens.
“I always talk to my children about how our forces have battled. India has seen a lot of bloodshed for a long time, and the security we enjoy today is a result of the same. I want my children to know the rich history we have, and understand the significance of Republic Day,” said the motivational speaker.
The Constitution that guards India came into existence on January 26, 1949, and the day is a witness to India’s transition into an independent republic. The celebrations at India gate reflect the unity in diversity of the Indian culture. It also speaks of the strength that comes along when the nation unites to fight against any forces that try to disrupt the country’s peace.
