The second batch for ‘Empower’, an initiative by National Organization for Social Empowerment, has commenced successfully. The project aims at facilitating learning among the differently abled students. This underlying idea has been met with positive reviews by people and has led to many people associating with the NGO in order to make their contribution. The training centre, which had been established in Vijay Nagar, New Delhi has seen more number of differently abled students registering themselves with ‘Empower’ in this new batch. The major focus of the initiative is to make these students acquainted with technology and impart computer related proficiency to them. A special emphasis will be also be given on improving the communication skills of the students.
Amandeep Singh, Founder of the National NGO is elated about the new batch. Through this project, National NGO aim to explore the latent potential of these amazingly talented differently abled students. Amandeep firmly believes that the students possess a sharp mind combined with a will power and perseverance that is unparalleled. It is our moral duty to give them a platform where they can delve deeper into their recess and evolve to face the world. Give them a little encouragement and they would never cease to surprise us.
Even the teachers that have been associated with this project are all praise for the diligence of the students. Most of them credit the students’ ability to grasp as the reason for the quick learning.
Exposure to technology and development of decent communication skills has raised their confidence. The previous batch passed out successfully and 5 visually- impaired students of that batch have already been placed. This is a big achievement for the entire humanity. This noble initiative has been well received by many teachers who have volunteered to make their contribution to this cause.
