Is it too late to learn English at the age of 28?

Avatar Opinion, Recent

English is a language that is used widely around the world. This is evident from the fact that around 1 billion people in the world use English as their first or a second language. In a country like India, where English is not just one of the official languages, but also a status symbol, fluently conversing in English can open up doors to a lot of opportunities. English is being taught as a major subject in the majority of Indian schools and universities.

However, learning a foreign language like English can be a tedious task for some people, especially those who started learning the language later in their lives, say at the age of 28 or even more. Now the question arises: Is it too late to learn English at the age of 28 or later? The answer is: Absolutely not!

It’s never too late to learn anything. Although it is widely assumed that it is easy to learn anything when you are younger, the reality is quite different. With the right attitude and perseverance, you can learn any language at any age. A perfect example for this is the famous polyglot Steve Kaufmann, who learnt his ninth language at the age of 60. So, if you think that you are too old to learn any language, just because you are 28 or 50, don’t get disheartened. All you need to do is find a good English teaching institute with experienced instructors.

We learn differently at different ages. Reputed language teaching institutes like Inlingua Delhi have specialists at work who design the curriculum in such a way that it is easy to follow for every student, regardless of his or her age. The instructors at such institutes are certified and highly experienced and they pay special attention towards each and every student.

Language teaching institutes like Inlingua provide the students with a friendly environment, which boosts their learning process and also instills a sense of confidence in them. Their unique teaching methods make it easy for every age group to learn English and be fluent in it.

If you are keen on learning English, there is no bar for you. With good teachers and continuous practice, you can learn English or any other language at any age. After all, age is just a number.
