Avatar Recent, Sports

The four-time champion Mumbai Indians is set to take on Delhi Capitals in the final of Dream11 IPL 2020. This is the first time that the later has made its way into the final of the marquee league. The all-important clash will feature some of the most exciting players on display from this edition of the tournament. With Rohit Sharma, de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav at the top, Mumbai Indians have got the bases covered for a solid power play game. The middle order has operated in a seamless manner with Ishan Kishan and Krunal Pandya holding forte on more than one occasion. The defending champions have got the power of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard to finish the game in a hurry.

On the bowling front, Mumbai Indians have got the cushion of two spinners in Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya to stem the flow of runs and let Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult run ragged. There is Hardik Pandya and Coulter-Nile as well to offer versatility in the bowling department.

For Delhi Capitals, Shikhar Dhawan has come good at the top, with Marcus Stoinis impressing with his first outing at the top. The failure of Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Panth though has been a worry for Delhi Capitals. However, Shimron Hetmyer has brought some relief to the dressing room with his power hitting in the middle. Another major plus point has been the inclusion of Axar Patel, as the all-rounder has made some decent contributions off late.

The bowling has been top-notch from Delhi Capitals with Kagiso Rabada, Ravi Ashwin and Anrich Nortje shining on numerous occasions to bail the team out from precarious situations. It will be important to see whether the finalists can play their ‘A’ game on the day to unsettle Mumbai Indians.

The stage is set for the players from both the teams to make a mark and lift the Dream11 IPL 2020 trophy. However, it will be interesting to see whether Delhi Capitals can hold onto their nerves to topple the four time champions. It’s certainly going to be a tedious task, given the experience of Mumbai Indians to play crunch games. The pendulum is surely favoring the defending champions, but you never know what’s in store for us.
