Relief India Trust offers its sincerest condolences to all those families who lost their beloved ones in the tragic rail accident near Harda, Madhya Pradesh. We also extend our sympathies to all those who have been injured and suffered losses in this incident. We understand this is a very tough time for you all and may god give strength.

1947 we became independent. India has the largest rail network in the world, yet, train accidents are so common. Our trains lack basic safety measures. The tracks are worn out and the infrastructure is rotten. The reason for the twin train derailment tragedy near Harda is said to be washing out of railway tracks by the rain. Now that is a serious issue. We still have bridges and tracks that were constructed by British and have trains running over them in their full capacity. That’s as good as sitting on a dynamite.

Relief India Trust simply urges government and railway ministry to make necessary reforms. We can afford to lose national money but not lives over such incidents.
