Sharda University, School of Law (SOL) recently organized the 1st Anand Swaroop Gupta Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2016. The event was held at the Moot Court Hall, 4th floor, PGDM Building, Block 7, Sharda University from 7th-9th April 2016.
The event witnessed a huge level of participation with over 33 teams from all over the country participating in the Competition. A number of students participated in the event with zeal, fervor and enthusiasm. The competition included 4 rounds; 2 Prelim, Semifinal and final round to judge the best mooting team by more than 20 judges. The event was graced by the presence of various prominent personalities. It was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice B. P. Singh (Former Judge, Supreme Court of India) and the Valedictory Session was presided over by Hon’ble Mr. Justice P. C. Pant (Judge, Supreme Court of India).The winners of the competition were awarded exciting cash prizes more than 1 lakh. The winning team was awarded a cash amount of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000 to the runner up team and Rs. 10,000 each to the Best Mooter (male), Best Mooter (female) and the Best researchers.
